Strangers Becoming Small Business Supporters

Strangers Becoming Small Business Supporters

It’s honestly surprising how little support comes from family and friends when you start a small business. You’d expect the people closest to you to be your most loyal customers, but more often than not, it’s complete strangers who place orders, cheer you on, and help you grow. The people you thought would be first in line are usually the quietest, while unfamiliar names keep popping up in your notifications. It’s both humbling and a little shocking to realize that the real support often comes from those you’ve never even met.

At first, I was really upset that family and friends didn’t seem to support my small business the way I hoped they would. It felt personal and disappointing, like my efforts didn’t matter to the people closest to me. But over time, it’s been eye-opening in the best way. I’ve realized that support doesn’t always come from where you expect it. Instead, it often shows up from complete strangers who believe in you without hesitation. It taught me not to measure my worth by who makes the most noise supporting you and to appreciate the genuine encouragement that comes, even if it’s from unexpected places.

Running my small business has introduced me to so many incredible people I never would have met otherwise. What started as a way to share what I love turned into a community full of kind, supportive, and inspiring customers who feel more like friends. Each order has brought a new connection, and over time, those connections have grown into genuine relationships. I’m so grateful for all the amazing people this journey has brought into my life.

I hope to continue transforming threads into memories for people nationwide!
